The World I See, Sun., 9/13/15

Spent the day on my bicycle. Rode 12 miles. The “Downtown to Defiance” ride was well worth the soreness I feel now. The cloudy cool weather kept the ride fabulous.

A major shout out to all the volunteers and Tacoma Police Officers who lined the route keeping us safe and traffic routed off these roads from 9 am – 1 pm so we could enjoy this rare privilege of biking unhindered.

I saw parents with kids, people on rollerblades and rollerskates, skateboarders, joggers and walkers. The day was spent in great company and there was always great cheer. Everyone looked and sounded happy to be there.

This is where my small group began and where we ended. The view of the Thea Foss Waterway and the 11th Ave Bridge which is a beautiful bridge. #TheWorldISee
