The World I See, Mon., 6/22/15

I did a lot of gardening with my Mom today. This is what we completely finished and it looks great.

Despite the resistance from my body I find great joy digging into the Earth and implanting new life, watching it grow, and re-bloom every year. I love getting dirty, making my fingers sore from clawing at the soil and stubborn rocks (of which there are a plethora…we call them Washington potatoes).  I like being worn out in the evening and knowing that I worked hard to impart great beauty and design into our yard.

The Sun bore down hard on us, the tunes were fulfilling, and the water was refreshing. When these Delphiniums went in alongside the contrasting grass and then the tarp and rocks were finally laid down we were excited. #TheWorldISee
